For this project, I followed a photoshop tutorial on how to make a flaming deer. I decided that the flaming deer was not cool enough so I decided to make a flaming goose instead. I started by going to Pixbay.com to find free images. I found a picture of a mountain range, a lake, and the goose. Next, I cut the mountain range image in half and placed it on the treeline of the lake image so they looked like the same image. my third step was masking the rock linked in the tutorial to make it smaller and fit in the front. After adding some saturation and a blue gradient, I added in the picture of the goose. I masked off the background of the goose and used the burn tool to darken its wings and neck. The final step was adding fire onto the goose wings. I used the fire images linked in the tutorial, and cut out certain flames using the lasso tool and "layer via cut". After cutting them out, I added the Screen blending affect and masked out the remaining background. I then fit the flames together on the end of the goose's wings. From this tutorial, I learned how to place realistic fire onto objects by using screen blending mode and masks.
