For this project, I decided to make an infinite triangle after seeing the triangle on the loading screen of Photoshop. I started out by googling "Infinite Triangle" and found this website, where I found more inspiration. My first step in Photoshop was to measure out a triangle shape using the ruler. The outside lines were measured at 5 inches each, the inside lines were measured at 4 inches each, and the small corner lines were measured at 15/16th of an inch. After drawing out the triangle shape, I decreased the opacity of the outline and started to draw in the water color on a new layer. I used the lasso selection tool to draw out a curved shape, then colored it in, making it brighter the higher I went. My next step was drawing in where the land and water met. For this part, I drew in with a brownish orange color right above the water, then colored over it with a 30% opacity blue brush until i achieved the color that I wanted. Next, I added some splotches of brown and gray to add some detail. My next step was drawing in the land. For the dirt, I used the same orange brown color, making it brighter the higher I got. I then added in some brown splotches and drew some rocks to add detail. My final step was adding the grass and sand at the very top of the triangle. I used different shades of green to give the top a hilly landscape, and drew in a river connecting to the ocean at the top. After this, I drew 3 different trees and rocks. I merged/duplicated them in different patterns to create the forest. Something that I learned from this project was that you can set the ruler lines to an exact measurement if you are trying to draw precisely. I also learned that using Photoshop to draw pictures is probably not as good as using illustrator.
